G10 anybody know if it just made with cloth or is there Reinforced Fiberglass Matt in it?

Going to make some homemade Micarta and wondered if reinforcing it with fiberglass material is the right thing to do???

Made a prsee and will post pics of the process, just don't want to go about this wrong:o

Fiberglass only in G10, along with an epoxy binder.
Micarta is cloth or paper, has no fiberglass, and uses phenolic resin as the binder.
If you're doing it at home, you can put whatever you want in it.
It will be a laminated composite, not Micarta, or G10.
I've done some with polyester, mylar, and cotton...
I've got to make some soon...

Anybody know the process involved in making G10 and micarta commercially? I've seen Ariel's wonderful tutorial but someone mentioned recently that the home made stuff doesn't machine like the commercial stuff. They described it as being too gummy to machine detailed work. Anybody have any ideas as to what might be the culprit there and how to avoid the "gumminess"?
