The G10 flavor is heavier, feels more robust in the hand, and almost surely is more robust and bulletproof. The lightweight version is not actually FRN, but "fiberglass reinforced co-polymer". To me, both FRN and FRCP are "plastic", but that's neither here nor there. The lightweight version is very lightweight for its size. While it almost has a flimsy feel in the hand, I think its a pretty solid piece of knife and perfectly up to the task of EDC. Consider also that the FRCP version is pinned, and later versions have a screwed vs. pinned pivot. I have the pinned pivot and have had good luck with it.
So you just gotta decide what floats your boat. I like to keep my carry weight at a minimum where possible, so for my needs the FRCP version is groovy. But I have the G10 flavors and they get pocket time too. Its all about what you are into.
