G10 or Micarta

Sorry if this has been addressed but I am looking forward to ordering a new RAT. First I got an Izula and love it. Next I ordered a HEST, got the numbered one cause New Graham had one, freaking love it. Now I need another. I am looking the RC3 but I guess I can go RC4 but that will be a coin toss. The real question is... Micarta or G10 I love the look of the micarta and admire its textural feel, but I love the Orange G10 on OD knives. So whats the consensus? Micarta or G10? Does one wear better than the other, slippery, stains... What's up? Thanks in advance.

Nice collection so far!!! As far at the RC3 vs RC4 - you will be happy with either and probably wind up getting both! No wrong choice there!!!

As far as I know, G10 is tougher than micarta but it will take a lot to break either.

Both clean up nice with some warm soapy water.

With that said I always go for canvas micarta as I love the texture and find it grippier.

I think its all really personal preference when it comes down to it - if you really love the orange - go for it! I dont think I've ever heard of someone complaining about the RC3 G10 handles...
 
The micarta grips very well in all weathers. However, as pointed out, G10 is less absorbent and hence a better option.
 
I figured this one out when mrs shottgunner posted she had 40 left over rat pack knives. I really like the orange on od
but black will be even better.
