The thread referenced above got closed in just a day before I could comment about it. So, I decided to create my own thread relating to G10 Spyderco Police models generally, including the knife in question in that thread specifically.

Despite the OP's belief that he had purchased it 25-30 years ago, the consensus in the thread was that the knife was a Gen 3 PE VG10 G10 Police which was (per SpydieWiki) produced sometime between 2008-2016.

See: SpydieWiki -- C07 Police

So, for comparison, here's are pics (front & back) of my PE & SE VG10 G10 Gen 3 Police models:

Note: Per SpydieWiki that while the Gen 3 PE VG10 G10 Police model reportedly was made between 2008-2016, the Gen 3 SE VG10 G10 Police supposedly was only made between 2008-2014.

-----------------------------------------

The only G10 Police that could have been made 25 years ago, were the Gen 2 PE & SE ATS-55 Police models which (again per SpydieWiki) were reportedly made between 1998-2001.

The following are pics of my Gen 2 PE & ATS-55 G10 Police models which were made sometime during this period:

Note: Per SpydieWiki, these knives appear to be those made between 1998-2001 with a full flat blade, single liner, screw (a single one) construction & a half-moon clip but they do NOT have a Boyle dent in the lock release which reportedly was not added until 2001. So, they were probably made between 1999-2000.

-----------------------------------------

Lastly, here is a pic of the the range of G10 Police models (again per SpydieWiki) reportedly made starting in 1999 & ending with the Gen 4 PE K390 G10 Police made in 2019:

Note how the size of both the blade & handle of the G10 Police model increases with each successive generation.

The blade & handle of planned Gen 5 G10 Police models (with & without choil) will be even larger.

Thats an amazing Police collection that you've got there

The Police 3 is my favorite. And, yes, the knife posted in the thread that you referenced is most definitely a Police 3.

Here is my beloved Police 3. I am currently on the hunt for a SE version too
