G10 Police

Hi Guys
Just obtained a plainedge G10 Police to keep the serrated one company. the blade is flat ground and the handle has a steel liner; the serrated version has a blade with a swedge and no liner in the handle. Whats the story here??.

one is an earlier model and one is a later model. i don't remember which is what, i'm sure someone will come along and clarify

I tried to obtain some info a few days ago but didn't get a response, now i have the knife in hand and can make coparisons.
still I won't hold my breath.

The Swedged blade w/o a liner in the handle is from very early production of the model.
