G10 Scales?

Those are nice but 65 bucks holy smokes! Does anyone on here actually have a pair? Will the hold up to abuse?

I have them on an ESEE. (I know, I know, Becker totally tromps ESEE, but still...)

They seem to be working fine, and the look great!

I think it would cost about the same to have a maker here on the Forums make a set...so TKC is your best bet for G10.

For wood, look at the ones made by TommyTheWho. He sells sets for about $40. Great looking, too.

I also use to have some sticker shock when I would see things like that but now that ive started making I can see that the price is justified when you know how much equipment, time and skill is required.

Spydie,

There is actually a pretty strong sense of camaraderie between Esee and Becker. Esee makes a great blade just like Becker does. Just different strokes for different folks.

TKC's feel amazing in hand too, and the difference on an Esee is life altering. No blocky stock Esee handles for me..lol.
They are a bit spendy, but when you look at how much a quality blade that comes stock with G-10 costs, you will see its pretty in line.

I have a pair on one of my BK-19LEs and love them. Yeah, they weren't exactly cheap, but they are well worth the money. I have several Izula IIs (and a few other ESEE knives) with TKC scales as well, and they are all awesome as well.

Funny, the orange scales are the ones I will probably buy. They look great.

Yeah, every pare of TKC scales I have bought have been orange, with the exception of one pair in black that I bought for my ESEE-6 which I replaced with an orange pair as soon as they were available.
