G10 Sealants or finishing methods?

I am beginning to reshape/texture some of my G10 scales on a few knives and want to know what finishing methods or sealants can be used to obtain a gloss like appearance.. I have only worked with hardwoods in the past on scales and those are obviously easier to shape and finish depending on the desired effect.

Will high grit sanding do the trick on G10, or will it still come out with a dull appearance since it is a figerglass/resin composition? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I talked with some that use high grit wet/dry sandpaper....some use a buffer.
I've never heard of anyone using a finish or sealer on G10.....but I'm young yet and have sooooo much to learn.

Fine grit sanding, think automotive or fine steel wool followed by some polishing will give you a shiny surface.

800, 1200, 2000 grits and Flitz polish on cotton cloth.
