Thought I'd throw this up in case there's anyone else who also hadn't thought of this...
I just traded a few messages with another knifemaker, as I'd found out that I can get sheets of G10 at a very good price (I got about 8 square feet for the cost of 2 square feet from some of the usual places). Guess where?
Well, I'd found a local plastics manufacturer where I buy all my kydex. Turns out, they stock and can order G10 as well. And they'll sell it to me for a very good price. I can even save on shipping by picking up locally if I want. So, if you order kydex from your local plastics wholesaler, check for G10 as well. They may be able to save you a bundle. It won't be fancy stuff, unless they can special order it, but for basic models, it's a pretty good deal.
