I only have experience with regular 10 handles. Would this 3d machined handle provide better grip than regular g10? Thanks in advance

regular G10 normally has a grippy texture to it, but can smooth out over time with handling. 3D machined G10 or contoured G10 will also smooth out eventually, but will have a deeper machined pattern to it.

Regular g10 slabs are flat. They can be either polished smooth, or "peel ply" which has a grippy feel.

Contoured g10 would be g10 that has been rounded, usually this is less grippy than peel ply, but what it loses in grip it gains in looks as the machining reveals the layers of material, typically in a ring type pattern like micarta.

3d machined g10 can also be contoured, but usually refers to ridges or scallops cut into the slabs both to add grip as well as reveal the layered pattern of the g10.

Here we go:
The Spyderco is what Regular G-10 Looks like, the ZT is what 3D Machined G-10 looks like:

This is what contoured G-10 looks like:

The material remains the same, the surface texture is what changes, nothing more nothing less.
