Anyone know which mfg Resin is used in a commercial G10?
Stuff sold by knife supply companies

It took two seconds to pull this up on the internet:
" …. G10 is a high-pressure fiberglass laminate, a kind of composite material. It is created by stacking multiple layers of glass cloth, soaking in epoxy resin, and compressing the resulting material under heat until the epoxy cures. It is manufactured in flat sheets, most often a few millimeters thick."

Are you asking about what type of epoxy resin is used? If so, I haven't been able to find that out.
It's possible that it isn't a commercially available epoxy resin. No idea.

I believe most if not all comercial layered products use a heat or uv curing resin. From my research this resin is quite expensive and has a limited shelf life.

G-10 uses a heat setting epoxy resin. It is similar to the phenolic resins used in Micarta. Pressure and heat are the catalyst.

Worded poorly well answered ... Yes was looking for the Mfg of the resin and process

If you are making your own, I would suggest a good quality lamination epoxy like Weast System or System Three. Use the slow cure hardener. Laminate the layers and press/clamp moderately hard.

And dont try and let it cure in a cold work shop. Curing epoxy doesn't like the cold.
