G19 holster

Going to make a holster for my 19 I just purchased. Anyone have any advice for this? I've done a few sheaths but never have tried a holster so it'll be my first.

If there are good tricks for it let me know!!

What material are you planning to make it out of and what style will you be aiming for ?

Will be using a 10 oz leather for it. Looking for to make one just to make one. Will be a range holster. I will be getting some kydex for when I carry.

This could be a good start, just shorten it up a little bit or leave it as is http://www.instructables.com/id/MAKE-A-LASER-CUT-LEATHER-HOLSTER-FOR-YOUR-PISTOL/

Instead of using a laser you could print out and trace the pattern onto your leather and cut by hand.
