Why Thank you! I didn't know you were going to post here, as I was posting in the Gallery as an example that might spark some interest for others to try their hand at leather work, here is what I posted on the Gallery;

Johnny Holiday, aka Sniperboy, asked for a Softer leather sheath for the Large Sebenza, well I don't make them with soft leather but had some Buffalo hide around enough to try something, thought it over and came up with the sheath you see below, I folded the front lip down and cut it at a nice curve for design and glued it into place with Barge Cement, the back belt loop folds over and comes up around the bottom and back onto itself so it makes for a stronger loop, also glued and stitched into place...won't make any more of these as I promised it to be a unique one for Sniperboy, but wanted to give you guys and gals some ideas for sheaths for you to make yourself, this one holds well and yet is tough and flexible. It's not a White Water Rafting type of sheath but she'll not fall out!
;)

Thanks G2!! Wow a limited edition ;)
I really apprecaite you going out of your way to take my suggestions seriously, after all these years I finally have a G2 Sebbie sheath (I mean it took me long enoguh to get a sebbie :)..)

It was the first thing that HAD to be done.

I see a lot of avenues of that flap, shapng and cutting and whatnot.. good job!

Thanks, the fold serves a dual purpose, design/looks with the rakish cut and the contrast of the skin smooth verses rough and it aids in strengthening the opening for easier return of the knife to the sheath, as the leather is supple and soft.

PS
For those that might try something like this, the leather isn't formed fitted, nor do I wet it and shape it to the knife, as the leather is soooo supple, but that presents problems of it's own, you need to keep watch where the leather will fall when you go to glue the sides down, fun stuff to be sure...:)

I too have a "one of a kind" G2. Mine is primarily a neck sheath but is also capable of serving as a high-ride belt sheath. . .

Gary is the Carson, DDR, Tomes, Bob T, etc. . .of the sheath world !

Which is a good thing for me ! :D

Another example of beautiful G2 craftsmanship and unique as well. Gary, will you still make sheaths for us after you are voted a "National Living Treasure"?

Gig...Wray...whoa brothers, there be only one National Treasure on this Forum that I know of and He Fully deserves that title..
Jerry Fisk of course!

I'm nothing fancy, more plain but functional type guy, appreciate the kind words, now my wife will need to buy bigger pillows for this head?

You know what they say about corduroy pillows....
they're making Headlines! :D

GROAN. Great sheaths, bad puns, extensive redeeming social value. You need serious help, but you're forgiven.

Gary,
I hope you have been having a nice (brief?) hiatus from the forums.
Your demeanor and personality are missed, by me, at least!
Nice to see and hear from you!
Take care!
