it's been mentioned a couple times briefly, but not officially(that i saw) that the g4 was heading towards discontinued status. now i see on website stores it's listed as such. kinda a sad day. glad i got 2 of them........but a happy day as well, since there will be room hopefully for a new CLB BIG folder, 4" blade with hopefully upgraded steel like vg10?

yeah i know im beating a dead horse, but i find the CLB designs to be some of the best out there for using as well as looking at. i appreciate the low cost point for such great knives with the made in china angle. yet, i still long for an upgraded made in Taiwan to top standards, or even dare i say made in Germany CLB large folder. what are the odds? any feedback or insight Boker gents? as always thanks in advance for any feedback or opinions.....

Yeah I was a bit surprised to see the knife discontinued by Germany. It's a great design that didn't received the attention it needed, probably because of the price point and country of origin. I've always thought of it as a folding Blackhawk Kalista, as both knives seem to have similar ergonomics. Anyway, great design if you're into FMA.

I think most of the problems with Chad's designs is that more often than not they are made in China. While this makes them affordable the overall package isn't that good. A lot of his designs would be much more popular in the knife community if they are made with better materials.
