Seems to be a serious dearth of pix of the G4, so I thought I'd try to help fix that :)

Clip and lock side. You can see here how the liner lock projects above the scale line.

Congrats to Chad and Boker for hitting another one out of the park! This one is going in my pocket for some extended testing. More later!

This is my first post on this forum. I have owned some Boker knives and have liked them. I see this knife has China stamped on the back of the blade. Are all Boker knives made in China? Not that that is bad in itself. But, some of the knives I bought that were made in China have had some issues in the fit and finish as well as the steel.

Is this knife something I will be able to afford (under $75.)? Thanks ...

BTW - I like the looks of this knife.

Thanks, Potterma! :cool::thumbup:

Teague, the latest CLB knives in the Boker Plus line have been made in China. The Hyper, M-Type, Direkt (I believe), and this one. Others are made in Taiwan (Subcoms, Trances). I have no gripes about the fit, finish, or edge holding/resharpening on my China made M-Type. The G4 lists at only $39.95. :eek::thumbup:

:thumbup: I just bought one today,thanks to you Michael :D
I personally do liked Wharncliffe blade alot.This knife is felt very good in your hands.I can't wait to see what you gonna do with this knife Michael.Keep us posted. ;)

that thing looks pretty awesome. for the money, the trance is sweet. i just might be picking up one of these...

I am a bit sad that Direkt and G4 are linerlocks, not framelocks. I would probably get a Direkt, if it would have some other type of lock.
G4 looks interesting, but I would have to handle it first.
Chad, is there any specific reason for that very neutral grip? Looks like it would be equally comfy edge in or out...

Lost me with the "China" photo!
If you're concerned about quality, based upon my experience with the M-Type (also China made) there's no reason to be. It would seem logical that Boker sources these from the same manufacturer as the M-Type/Hyper. :thumbup:
