OK guys, I am over my shock. I went on to work, waded in an icey swimming pool, put on faceplates and trimmed the liner, then moved several tons of backfill with a wheelbarrow. I feel better now.
Truth be known, that knife does in fact have a tiny "CHINA" stamp on the left tang just under the pattern number. Also, they made no attempt to duplicate any of the various original tang stamps. The TBLLC tangstamp is unique.
No, I can't begrudge Taylor for buying the Schrade names and trademarks, and attempting to recover his investment in a quick and efficient manner. But then neither am I in the market for Chinese produced knives. I do have a bone to pick with sellers (not this one) who use fuzzy pictures and all kinds of hype to sell TBLLC knives, but fail to disclose the origin. We've all seen those listings, I am sure. Kudos to Taylor for adding the CHINA stamp to the blade.

PS- Anyone looking for a 165OT/UH to use can find one for less money than a new imported version. I still buy them for less than $50. Mint NIB examples are still a bargain as well, IMHO. Just compare the top dollar $145-170 to current production knives of similar design and materials.
