well guys, i dont know what it is. I keep finding myself visiting the Busse forum! i cant keep doing this! I'm a poor college student who couldnt afford a Busse if he tried! Yet here i am looking at all these wonderfully beautiful knives!

is it the knives themselves (I WILL GET A BUSSE, I PROMISE!)?

or is it Jerry and his "i'll drink to that!" (funny guy you are Jerry, funny guy!) personality?

or is it Amy O's lovable craziness (and Ohio State alligence)?

while im here, i might as well ask for recomendations for my first Busse (which is still a long while off sadly :( ). preffer it to be on the cheaper end of the Busse spectrum, but im not at all opposed to paying a nice chunk of cash (forget the "if he tried" part above lol). I have been interested in the meaner and game warden for awhile now.

thanks guys. maybe by Blade 08' i'll be able to get a Busse :D
 
Welcome to the trough! :D I like the Active Duty in the smaller Busses, myself. Just one lady's opinion. You are probably attracted to this loke the rest of us....for the INFIdiction! :D By the way, love the quote in your sig line, where is it from? Thanks in advance!

Watch the Company Store closely and snag a Badger Attack when it comes up. They CAN be had for $227, which is about as cheap as it's going to get for a "full size" knife.

The cheapest that I'm aware of, that's not a skeleton type blade is the smaller Active Duty for $187.

They have been appearing the last day or two at the Store, so keep an eye out.

As far as being able to afford one, you might have to do as I did.....sell the CRA....um, lesser quality knives you currently have and buy a Busse, even if you take a loss and have to sell 2-3 of them.

It's from Star Wars Republic Commando "Triple Zero". its a book series (Hard Contact, Triple Zero, True Colors, and the 4th is TBA). Mandalorian's (think Boba Fett). Type of people who would use a Busse i bet :D

any chance you guys could post pics or post a link to a pic so that i can see them? like i said, it'll be awhile, but if i get a ball park figure, then im better off than most (and once i make a desicion, i can start in ernest :D )

welllllll thank you for the link morimotom. i am now very interested in that Badger! and at around $250-$300, it'll be in my price range when i have the money!

keep it coming folks. i know that there are alot more out there. what handle material should i shoot for (if thats even aplicable)? blade finish ect?
 
I am kind of boring, but I like to go with black micarta on a black blade. I've always done that with the exception of a few LEs (Limited Editions) I have.

Go with the BATAC or Meaner for your first one depending on what size you prefer. Both are great knives. WELCOME!!
 
Don't do it!!! You will get hooked and spend endless hours F5'ing at the company store trying to land the ever-so-elusive Busse of your dreams! Once you get it... you will go back and buy more... and more... It is a disease, I tell ya... very contagious! We are all infi-ected.

I used to have a lot more money before I got into Busse's. :)

It looks like the BATAC is going to win. Now to get the near $300 for it!
