Christmas and Yule are sneaking up on us, and there's a little over a month left to shop.

What gadgets do you hope to receive, or will you be bestowing onto others?

Has anyone seen anything new and revolutionary as of late?

For my part, it's an Epox 8K5A2+ motherboard and an Athalon XP 2000.

Regards

These remote controlled cars are about the size of the Matchbox cars from our (my) youth except they're remote controlled. They do forward, reverse and left and right in both directions. The controller only uses a couple AAA batteries and you plug the cars into the controller to charge them for 45 seconds. This gives you almost 5 min of run time. These cars run on motors originally designed for the vibrate mode in your pager (smaller than a pencil eraser). There are several grades of motor and gearing avaiable. There's also both Ni-cad and Ni-MH batteries available. If you get a couple of these cars, with different radio frequencies (27mhz & 49 mhz), you and your buddies can hold a desktop grand prix, literally on a desk! There's also upgrade motors, grearing, tires and bodies available for these tiny RC cars so you can really customize them and tweak their performance.

Best of all, they're only about $20.00 including charger and radio and the upgrades are generally only a couple bucks!

Look at Radio Shack for Zip Zaps or other places for Bit Char-G cars or MiniSizers (same stuff, different packaging). There are other tiny competitors in the marketplace as well but these are the most popular series. There is a whole micro racing thing going on at the moment. Check out www.tinyrc.com for a micro racer related set of forums.

These cars are real RC cars that you can actually race on a desktop!

A couple of weeks ago, I traded off my Surefire E2e-HA (that I had only for about a week) on a pair of Spydies that I couldn't pass up on. There will be a gunshow in town on the last weekend of November, so I'll be picking up another E2e-HA as my early B-day/Christmas present. :D (As well as another Photon II(turquiose).)
