Ok guys. This might be a fun little thread. List up some gadgets that you know of that will fit in a pistol mag sized pouch. I got a few mag pouches on my bag and there's this one lonely pouch that needs....... something... in it. Got a folder, got a leatherman, got a flashlight, got pistol mags for my pistol. There has to be something nifty out there that will fit in the same space as a leatherman or Glock 21 pistol mag. Love to hear your ideas.

Some paracord might be useful if you're out and about in the woods. Besides that, you could also probably put some firestarting material in there, like a bag of lint, some matches, and a ferrocerium rod.

Zeiss 8X20 monocular, Olympus digital voice recorder, 40 $100 bills, Silva Aluminum matchsafe, Knives of Alaska Ti hobo set, Swiss Army Champ, sharpening supplies, tinder or see item 3, Fiskars pocket saw, first aid kit, GPS, etc.

Knife or gun care kit? like a cleaninf kit of some kind. oil, small rag and so on.

I keep a Surefire A2 light and a Spderco Rescue inside of two 5.11 pistol pouches and they fit well, the light sticks up a little taller than the knife but it fits.

The Flair and the Ti chopsticks ride in one pouch, what I call my dining pouch :D

And the folding DMT rides in the other, sometimes with a Swiss Climber or a Fenix lite...

And sometimes I just carry an extra magazine... :D

On the real though...don't start surfing that site. They take all your money and leave you feeling tacticool as all get out..

:D

+1, they have taken my money and I still want more. I talked myself out of the pocket hook but not out of the micro sized one. Still useless but "I need it" for some reason.

I to covet the micro hook. I actually had a use for it all worked out.

Get this...You're fishing. Your lure gets caught in a branch (because you can't cast to save your life) and you don't want to yank on your line for fear snapping it and losing your 1 dollar lure.

So you take out your micro hook...hook the branch to pull in in close enough free your hapless lure...

See...It makes perfect sense.

You know what? I was gonna say I can't imagine what I would use a small grappling hook for but you just opened my eyes. Another possible use is that there is something about 10 or 12 feet out of reach and you got your hook and some 550 cord. If you get it locked in you could just drag it over to you.

Or you could use it as a anchor of sorts. Say you wanna store some perishable goods in a stream to keep them cold and you don't want them floating away. I know you could just tie a knot but why when you got a grappling hook.

Glad to help.

The first think people think about when they hear "grappling hook" is ninjas climbing a wall.

It seems these were not designed for pulling you up but for pulling things to you.
