We're always interested in the next cool gadget. Many of them end up in the bottom of a drawer, or the back of the closet.

I recently got a Chawley Changer. Sounds like a good idea. For many people it probably is.
I don't use it, because I don't want to fuss around with the springs when I'm paying for something, or getting change.

What's in your drawer that doesn't come out much?

Hmmm...good topic! I have tons of flashlight "crap" that I never use, yet _think_ I might need them in the future.

Something that doesn't get used much anymore is my Palm VII. Got as a gift, I still prefer pen and notebook! Seems a waste just sitting there, ya know? Trade for knife stuff maybe!

I don't know what the problem with the Palm VII was, but I've heard stories like that before, even from people who use Palms a lot.
I've had a Palm and a Vizor and I'm planning to get a new one soon, maybe a Clie. I have gotten great use out of them. The main thing is that you need to get better software than comes with the machine. (The Clie may have some better stuff on it. I'm looking forward to finding out.)

Kitchen junk. There's not much that can me made without a decent knife, a couple of pots and pans, a wooden spoon and a handheld blender. I'm amazed at the amount of complex, expensive labour saving devices that clutter up peoples kitchens. They are usually a bugger to clean as well.

They gave me these dang capsules before my last "trip" into an unnamed African country. Said to just bite down on them if I was captured. Never needed them. Trade for a knife maybe?

I've had a Palm VIIx for a few years and find that I end up using the data more on my desktop vs directly on the Palm. I'm retired now , so guess that accounts for it.

I used to draw A LOT. Ever since the 9th grade (in Oregon), I lusted after the 'Y&C Grip350 double-knock' mechanical pencil-in black, 0.5. It's pretty cheap to buy and made outta plastic, but $hit it was hard for me to find 'til half way into 11th grade (in Texas). I stopped drawing for a few years following a mysterious incedent, and just recently remembered and picked this thing up after I saw this post-the ORIGINAL one I have dragged around with me from Texas to Oregon and now to California. It was in one of a few empty cleaned out Spam cans I use for writing/art utensils. Thanks a Million you guys!!!:D :D :D

A Sonic Rangefinder. You point it at something like < 20 feet away and it click click clicks and displays the distance to the object. I never could trust the damn thing, so I never used it for anything except measuing the distance to someones ear, irritating them with (to them) extremely loud clicking in the process.

I have a (nice) 100 channel programable Uniden Bearcat hand-held scanner (the police, fire, etc. radio type). I traded a couple items for this one about 18 months ago, and it has pretty much just sat in it's bag since then.

It's being traded for an Al Mar Nomad 'tho, which WILL see use as an "EDC".:).
