gaffs

No time for full sentences any more?
What exactly is going on?

All the best,

you can find examples of my gaffes all over the place in Bladeforums.

I read your posts and can see for myself, Lorien, but what is it all
about on this thread? What am I missing?

I assume that roundhead was asking if anyone here made custom gaffs (a type of spear/hook used for catching and/or lifting fish/gators into a boat).

And Lorien was talking about 'gaffes' in a sense of saying something you not quite meant that way and caused some disconfort to others, or I did not get it right?

It's just such a random question, that I couldn't help but joke around:)

gaffe also gaff (gf)
n.
1. A clumsy social error; a faux pas: "The excursion had in his eyes been a monstrous gaffe, a breach of sensibility and good taste" Mary McCarthy.
2. A blatant mistake or misjudgment.

Sorry, I'm a silly fellow:)

Being a Florida boy and quite a fisherman, perhaps Don Hanson has forged a gaff or two in his day. ;)

I heard Don retired his gaff rather than bloody his beloved sunfish.

If anyone here still uses custom gaffs, I would look to our 2 Joes. I could be wrong, but didn't Paul Long just finish a sharkskin sheath for Paranee Joe's bluefish gaff?
