Gallery of 'Tibet' blades, several Khukuri

I doubt anything in that picture is older then the carton of milk in my fridge.

You're right of course,

but it's interesting to look at khuks from other sources.

I like the wood scabbards.

Handles, blade profiles, and chos are a bit different.

Interesting handles at the bottom
with the metal plates extending down the sides.

Thanks for adding the pic Ferguson.

the two khuks at the very bottom, to the left and rught of the center one look exactly like this suitcase full i shleped back from the middle east 3 yrs ago. its hard when u have to find xmas presents for a bunch of soldiers:rolleyes: customs hade a field day. i still have about 10 of them sitting in my room. they dont seem to bad. the little metal plates which are nailed to the handles are as thin as foil and come of if u use the khuk. they also cut up ur hand in the process. otherwise it seems like a good khuk. the blades are completly engraved and the sheath is wood with fake leather. havent put them to alot of use so i cant say how good they are. i did have a seration put onto one of them.

Too bad.

I though they were inlay & part of the brass supporting the blade.

Done properly it would be a nice design.

I do like the wood scabbards, especialy with brass.

I have one just like the center example on a Villager Mini-Hanuman.
