Gamblers Vest Bowie in fossil walrus ivory

Here is one I have been working on for a while. The handle is what took a lot of time as I hand carved it. It is fossil walrus ivory. I really like the way it turned out and hope you do to. As I carved through the color to the cream underneath, it just really sets it off. The fittings are nickel silver and being a vest Bowie it is not a real big knife but big enough to get the job done :>). Blade length is 5 3/8 inches and overall is 9 1/4 inches. The Damascus is 52100 ball bearings that were nickel plated that I forged and made. Hope you like it.

That is a really nice knife! I love the carving on the handle. You're right, carving to the cream color on the handle does make it pop. I also like your damascus and its finish.
