I recently got my daughter a game cube. She has been trying out some games by renting them at Blockbuster. Is it possible to copy these games....for a longer evaluation period?

Well, I'm pretty sure you will have to get a mod chip for it...same as an x-box or a PS2...but I'm not sure.

Comet, just look around the 'net and you'll find what you need. You'll have to have either a mod chip, or a mod disc. You'll also find different programs around- freely available- which will let you copy the information so that the code comes out correctly and the countermeasures built into the game discs are bypassed. It just takes some looking into- not that I condone or would ever do such a thing mind you.

Sincerely,
Anthony

Isn't copying the game illegal? Hell if you're already going to go through the dark path why rent from blockbuster? Why not buy pirated games? Same game, much cheaper. Plus you're going to help some entrepreneurial young american rather than giving money to a large Japanese multinational corporation.

:)

you're going to have a hard time buying a pirated gamecube game... watch the vid and you'll see what a PITA it is to pirate GC games. they're so cheap as it is unless she wants to play EVERY GC game you're better off paying a visit to the local gamestop or EB and getting some preowned games. besides, games like barbie's pony rider or whatever cost much less brand new compared to games like splinter cell 3 etc.
