The MIGHTY GWAC!!!! I figured while the fever was still peaked on the CABS, I'd see if I could work the trough up into supporting an thin, choiless, Game Warden. I think it would make a great little EDC in that configuration! Come on, you can picture that little thin INFI scalpel, welded into your hand with that micarta handle providing the fine leverage control you need as you whittle away on the intricate details of your traps' wooden triggers...
Tell me you can see it...What do you say?

Isn't that pretty much what the HACK is? Not quite sure myself, but curious...

I may be completely wrong about this, if so, I apologize for the misinformation but my understanding (and I did read this somewhere) is that the HACKs, while still high quality and with full Busse backing, are ground by Busse apprentices and hence, with humor, the work "HACK". I think it is an acronym of some sort. In my short and downward spiraling addiction to Busse knives I've seen a number of different sizes and shapes with the HACK stamp. Some look like Game Wardens and some don't. If I came across an affordable (for me) thin Game Warden like HACK (similar blade shape and handle), I would go for it. Again, if I'm wrong about this, I'll gladly delete my post.

It's my understanding that the HACKs have a choil and the GW does not, and I believe there are some pretty thin GWs out there (something like .17", maybe thinner), just keep an eye out in the exchange.

GW's have a choil. Several of the first models where .140

I never really considered that little notch in front of the talon hole on my GW a choil. I guess my interpretation of a choil is something that you can fit your finger into and use it to choke up on.

If your finger will fit in the choil its called a usable choil by many, but they are all choils.

So basically a Skeleton Warden????

Do we really need a lighter Warden??? I find the balance to be great. The CABS are to solve the a##-heavy nature of the BOSS Streets. As I've said before, some lightening cuts under the handles would solve the same thing and still provide the same stout blade profile. Looks like Jerry listened regarding the TULS-A's.

I believe H.A.C.K. stands for, Hog Apprentice Combat Knife. I am just going on memory here so dont be to hard on me if I am wrong.:)

The HACK I had was was flawless. One of the most even and sharpest grinds I've ever seen on a Busse.

That little notch is an elf choil,,, :)

Maybe I'm being dense here, but where do you find HACKs? In the meantime, I'll just keep my eyes open for a 0.140" thick user game warden. Thanks!

HACKs, find them at the gun and knife shows every once in a great while, Mike had a tigerhide one about 8 months ago which sold 2 seconds after the show opened.

At Knob Creek there were 6, all hollow ground with orange G-10 scales, thickness ranging from .22, .25, and .27 (if I recall right). Those were gone pretty quick too (I picked up two, sold one though).

I think HACKs are a hit or miss thing and it all has to do with luck.

I'm talking about HACK wardens by the way, I have no clue where you find bear cub HACKs besides the exchange.

The small choil (elf choil) is the problem. Can't tell you how many times I have hooked the stupid things while cutting cardboard, plastic packaging. Etc! The BAD, and GW have a short blade anyway, need all the cutting length they can get. And the choils aren't useable anyway. That is why the cabs and Muck and boss jack and tankbusters with no choil are the SHIZZ! (Thanks Boss for the choil less option!)

I still carry my BAD the most, but would love it more without the elf choil.
