Anyone here have one yet?

Looks kinda small to me but apparently the horizontal set up makes it easier to use than the regular size version. From some online reviews it seems that Nintendo did a great job of the screen too.

Just one of a few things that are potential to go on the wishlist :)

I saw those. They are tiny. All I can say is that my son, who has had every iteration of gameboy, gameboy color, gameboy advance, advance sp, now DS, has never said a word about wanting one. That speaks volumes to me!

My daughter wanted a Gameboy Micro but we looked at the features including screen size, backward compatability, price, etc. and she decided on buying a Gameboy Advance SP - the new version with the brighter (backlit) screen. It's a better unit and is about $20 cheaper than the Micro. It has better backward compatibility than the Micro. The only feature that was better on the Micro was the fact that it fits easily in a shirt pocket - big whoop.

The new GBA SP's with the brighter screen are the same price as the original SP's (about $79.99). You can tell they are the new ones with the brighter screen by looking for the secret code on the front of the package - in enormous letters it says Now With Brighter Screen!.

If nintendo keeps up these hardware revisions and divisions I'm going to stop buying their products. I bought a game boy advance shortly after it came out. Then about a year later they came out with the sp, which was a vast improvement, but since I'd just purchased the advance I wasn't about to turn around and buy the sp. Then they come up with the DS, which they say won't split their market and isn't going to compete with the advance. That makes no sense though, because they are clearly two sets of hardware from nintendo for the same handheld market, and wouldn't you know it that instead of the next Castlevania game (this series was my primary reason for buying the advance) being for GBA, its for DS. Now they revamp the advance hardware again in the form of the Micro. This is highly annoying to me. There is an accepted video game hardware lifecycle, and that cycle is supposed to be longer than one or two years.

Well I was at Best Buy today and they're failry inexpensive at 99.00 IMO so I decided to pick one up.

The screen is very very cool I have to say. Extremely clear and easy to see.

This is my second Game Boy in over a decade. I still have one of the originals which I believe was purchased for me back in '91 or so.

Bought Star Wars with the system which I have to say I am already bored of. I think tomorrow I might pick up FIFA 2006 for a little something different.
