Anyone raise gamecocks? A woman at work dad, hooked me up with a young one to help protect my small flock of hens from a cooper's hawk, that has been messing around. (small hawk)
Check out the "knives" this guy packs!

I don't raise em, but I like em, I've gotta Grey/Hatch, green leg..👍🏼

My dad had fighting chickens, but stopped using them for their intended purpose when I was very young. I don't even remember any talk of it.

Anyway, we kept the chickens and their offspring for years. I wouldn't say we were raising them. They were just free range chickens. I will say they were aggressive. Even the hens were mean! It didn't seem to matter how many generations they were removed from the original bunch, they were all very aggressively protective.

Nice looking rooster you have there!
