I have been thinking about buying a Benchmade Gamer Fecas. I will have to buy it on the internet because I live in the Netherlands where there are not a lot of knifeshops, the stores that do sell nice knives ask huge prices. I saw a Benchmade 710 in a shop in Rotterdam, they were asking 320 Euros for it. When i buy one in Germany on the net it costs 150 Euros.
So my question is does anybody have a Gamer Fecas. What do you think about it and what about the sheath? If someone could post a pic of the sheath, especially the backside and how the clip is attached, that would be great. I have been reading about the N690 steal and I' m sure it's good enough for my purposes.

I'd love to post a review but the internet site that has the best price on it (New Graham for 27$), is currently out of stock and the knife is on back order :( . I was planning on picking it up when I purchase the 10300. Now I have to decide if I want to wait or make two separate orders. The thinner blade (compared to the BM Rant Bowie) should make it a good slicer and I'm thinking about carrying it as my small/medium game hunting knife. If you do purchase it I'd love to hear what you think about it.

I've got one, and it's a nice little knife for the money. Very thin, not good for a lot of heavy work, but the sheath system is similar to what they use on the Nimravus family of knives. Pretty good actually. Considering the price it's a great little utility knife. Good luck.

who can tell me the details of "EN ISO 8442-2"?
when we export our knives, a buyer told us that the material should be in compliance with this standard.

If any one know this, please contact with me by yuqx_113@hotmail.com.

Thanks to much.

Yehudi -

This ISO standard relates to Stainless Steel items the come into contact with food. Try just using the standard number (EN ISO 8442-2) in Yahoo or whatever search engine you prefer and you'll have more info than you ever wanted.

however, my Gamer is made of 440C, I don't know if the N690 knives are already on sale.

greetz ;)

BTW - You can always try to buy a knife in one of German webshops. as I see, they are not sooo expensive.

Thanks for the pics! They leave nothing to the imagination, excellent.
That clip looks good, I'm sure I will enjoy the knife. About the steel, well I don't mind if it is 440c or N690, both will be good enough for me.
I almost forgot, I ordered it in Germany. That's the best and cheapest way for me. They usually charge the suggested retailprice, but not in Dollars but in Euros. If I would find one in a store in the Netherlands they would probably ask 80 Euros for it.

yes, usual prices are about 40 euro without shipping - and shipping is not so expensive within the UE.

My Gamer arrived today. It has cost me 39,50 Euros shipping included. I bought it at Wolfster's Knife Shop in Germany. I already liked the design but now that I have it in my hand I also like the grip. It really fits nicely in my hands with all the fingers and thumb in the places they were meant to be. Mine is made of N690 steel, which will be good enough for my occasional use.
Here in the Netherlands it is not recommended to walk around with a knife like this, so I will have to find a good way to carry it around so nobody will notice it, for now I just clip it in my front or back pocket and wear my shirt over it. I would not use it for reverse carry because the lock in the sheath is not that good that you won't lose it. For normal use the sheath is good enough and for this kind of money I think you cannot expect a much better sheath.
