I have picked up two of these knives in recent weeks and I have to say that I have been impressed. The sodbuster has better fit and finish than the peanut but even the peanut is decent for the price. I paid $25 for the sodie and $20 for the peanut. They are both 1095 with delrin handles and nickel silver hardware. I have carried these two together for a little over a week and have really grown to enjoy them.

This photo shows the minor issues with the peanut. I also had to peen the pivot just a little to tighten it which is why you can now see the pivot pin.

Hi,

They look nice. It's good to hear Bear is getting better. I will need to check them out at Gander the next time I get to the big city.

I started looking at Bear after I saw they made a line in Carbon blades.

The Price was just right for an EDC and being a Mountain guy who likes Folding Hunters and Bear making a Carbon Folding Hunter when so many are in Stainless Steel I had to take the chance and Order one.

Since I received it I've been very happy with it and plan order to a couple more.

Thanks for the review, images and the heads up on Gander.

The carbon steel was a big pull for me when combined with the nickel silver pins and pivot.

I went looking for these at my local Gander Mountain. None...zip....nada. :grumpy:
