GRS and BAS Chopping! (pic heavy)

I took the dogs and khuks out of a hike and got a workout for all of us.

I know how I enjoy seeing pictures of Khukuri at work, so I decided to take some and share with everyone.
I hope you all enjoy, I know I enjoyed the work.

This knife is NOT a toy. Its BIG, its SHARP, and it is HEAVY!
My arm is definitely not accustomed to chopping. Breaks were taken whenever I felt that I needed to rest my arm.
Safety First was foremost in my mind, and I could tell when I started to tire that my grip on the GRS was adequate to ensure my safety. So, I rested and took pics and played with the dogs. :)

Great pics. Looks like a great day with lots of fun playing with khuks. Good job on making sure that safety was a top priority as a tired arm swinging a khuk can be a dangerous thing. Keep up the good work.

Nice pics!
How did the edges handle the work? Any rolling or chipping worth talking about other than the usual battle scars to the mirror polish? How large would you say are the hardened sweet spots on each?
Thanks! Please keep the reviews coming :)

Neither had any rolling, chipping, or any other blade deformation for the outing. They just need some sharpening. I'm not much for putting a razors edge on any knife, so they'll get some attention from the steel, and maybe a light sanding if nessasary.

I don't know exactly how big the sweet spots are.

There is a dimple in the Blem BAS that is dead center of the sweet spot, that looks like a side effect of the hardening process. But there are no other blade deformations.

The Ganga Ram Special has a little black pit near the edge up by the tip. But the actual edge is perfect.

I'm assuming that the sweet spot of both blade is adequately large for my needs since neither of the knives have damage that would be caused by me striking with the softer parts of the edge. The lovely thing ive learned about using Khukuri is that striking with the sweet spot comes naturally and I don't have to put any effort into it. It's where the knife wants to hit.
