Even an old Master like Ganga Ram is subject to having a handle crack. This rig is perfect except for the reddish epoxy Pala has put into the cracked area. I think maybe Pala is a little color blind along with his somewhat poor sight.

You can save $25 on this knife, excellent in every way save for the repaired crack in the handle. Price is $225 and we will pay shipping. Call or email if interested.

I hate to have passed up on that one, but given the amount of holiday shopping on my list, that keeps me bound. However in another way, by doing so, I also give a good opportunity to all my brothers on this forum to appreciate HI khukuri..

But it's still hard to resist HIKV though.

That's the problem with natural materials like wood,horn and bone.
That's also why I prefer those materials.
When everything is right it will give and take with the seasons.I have some Bois'D'Arc that I thought was excellent,but some of it has done the same thing as Ganga Rams Khukuri handle did.

I can hardly wait for my Ganga Ram to get here.Either it or the Millenium Special I am hoping to be the ultimate user for me.The 18"AK is the one I would grab now for any kind of extended excursion with the GS coming in a close 2nd.
I have a certain style and shape of blade in mind though and if these aren't exactly what I want I may try to carve one and see what the Kamis think of it.

Then maybe if the Kamis like it we may have the Yvsa Special.
My kinfolks always told me I would wind up being with crooked things.

The god(s) were with me -- a day or so ago I was disappointed to find that I was not going to be able to order a Salyan, and brother "sing," upon reading of my sorrow, suggested that I dispel my grief by getting a Ganga Ram. No chance, I thought; there are none available. Little did I know that a day later Uncle Bill would be offering a Ganga Ram blem and that it would appeal to me far more than the lowly Salyan ever did. sing, you are wise and in tune with the heavens.

I am happy for you. I have a Ganga Ram 19" AK. It's a hefty chopper. Perhaps too heavy until I build up my arm...
