Uncle Bill and everyone, I received the 21" GRS the other dy and finally got a chance to try it out. The performance of this khukuri is amazing,I was able to chop down a large pine tree with about 1/3 of the effort required to do the same with my 15" AK. Fit and finish on this khukuri is excellent, the karda and chakma are the best I've seen yet.I would like to thank Will Kwan for suggesting that I try this khukuri,I think it is a good choice, it will handle the larger trees with ease.Uncle, I enjoyed our conversation on the phone last night, I would like to be able to attend the Konvention on the 26th and 27th so I could meet you and some of the other forumites, maybe if all goes well I can be at the Florida Konvention. Thanks Again, Lamar

:
Lamar I like this model so well that I got 2 of them with one being the freindship model.
I sorta reworked the scabbard by pulling out the little loops that hold the utility tools and put in 3 loops. Then in addition to the karda and chakma I put in one of the Kumar Karda's. After working the little too fat handle down it is one of my favorites and if it wasn't so heavy I would bring it to Reno for the Konvenion.

Khukuri FAQ

Lamar,

You welcome, glad to hear you like GRS. I love the big khukuri's. Like you I found that the effort ratio to be around 1/3 - 1/4. As well I don't accidently chop with my hands when I'm dealing with bigger trees.

Will
