Looks like you might be set...

What year Samichlaus do you have there? What kind of beer is hiding in the back?

Sami: 2002...
In the back, Vieille Provision Saison Dupont (Belgium)...
In my book, a very good example of the style (belgian "coriander" "summer" beer), although it's not my preferred style...I really like english/scottish/irish ales...paves the way for the single malt ;)

2002--very nice. I'd like to keep a library of Samichlaus, Thomas Hardy etc. Buy a case each year, then drink a few a year...

Dupont is the standard for the style in my book. Have you had their winter beer Avec les Bons (not sure of the spelling)?

I really like english/scottish/irish ales...paves the way for the single malt --That explains the Traquair House then;)

Cheers!

No...I haven't tried it :(
Beer importation is quite strict here; you buy what they have (who are we, customer, to know what's good for us, right?)
I have to rely on private importation, but even then, I buy what's offered.
For the Samichlaus: have you thied it with milk chocolate? It's VERY good...

Ah, too bad. It is a little stronger in alcohol (about 9-9.5% if recall correctly)and a little drier/hoppier as well.

I'll have to try the Sami with chocolate, had not thought of it with that particular beer.

Me neither...I just happened to have Sami in my glass one night, and the dessert was raspberry pie...horrible with that beer, lemme tell you. So, just to change the taste in my mouth, I grabbed some milk chocolate...wow
Later, I tried with black (80%) choc; not so good.

WELL....I guess you have your stuff..........but you have to exercise that finger on the f5...............

I am just saying??????

What do I know???? :) :) :)

You should start with the Lagavulin and Talisker, then move to the Highland Park.

After that, looks like you have just enough to make it till morning.:D

Drink carefully! And do NOT drive.

Who drinks without smoking?
JUst asking as I would not know from personal experience, good boy that I am.

Who drinks without smoking?
Word. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, extends a good alcohol buzz like caffeine. Once I get that mellow glow started, I can coast for hours on a bowl or two. Thats the beauty of a pipe.
