Just finished this one up this afternoon. I thought it would be a really simple project but it turned out to be tough because the ganza version has a tapered handle area and I had to get the scales to fit properly. The hawk has a ghetto satin finish that looks similar to a competition finish. I used stabilized Koa, G Flex epoxy, and a single micarta pin. Im not 100% happy with how the handle turned out looks wise but I guess its ok. It IS super comfortable and beats the heck out of the cord wrap. I did some test chops and the wood absorbs shock much better than para cord.

Plus check out my SICK modern nessmuck trio :)

Nice work, it looks very comfortable.
Looking forward to the Micarta version.

Those are beautiful!!

I like the choices of blade style for this mod.

Bravo!

I think I might box the micarta version so that the handle is straight all the way down.

Its a custom I designed and had jim rosa grind out for me in M390. I handled it with some awesome curly mango from Mark at burlsource. Its definitely my favorite knife of all time and Ive only had it for a week.

Nice JOB once again...I especially love the curly mango and micarta pin job you did on the muk...so much so that I'm convinced to try it...I've never worked with mango wood or micarta pins. I've used carbon fiber pins before and wasn't impressed (too brittle)...but the micarta pins with the wood looks awesome. Let us know how the one pin epoxy job works on the kill devil with hard use. Haven't used g-flex before either.
