OK, this was my first Ganza.

Are they all like this?
I expected the stampede, but not the multiple members being banned and flaring tempers. Is it always like this, or usually just a stampede?
 
Usually just fake Jerrys and a stampede:thumbup::thumbup:
BF going down for a half hour at a time....
 
This is my third, although I've watched an additional two from the sidelines.

This was the nastiest for sure - never seen so much tusk crossing!

BF itself held up much better than before; it used to be effectively shut down. It was still slow enough to make things a bit uncertain this far away from the US though.

I didn't realise UJ got himself banned :confused: Did I hear right??? I must have missed that. I was just keeping my head down and staying on target no matter what.

Yeah a lot more bad stuff happened this time than usual. BF held up much better than in the past which is awesome. Usually it crashed and you'd just send at 55 after. This was a more coveted blade for sure. And I am glad it wasn't my first. It was the most effective ganzaa trench warfare ever IMO.
 
That's the truth. Usually BF is down, sometimes you get the GO from the 'other' site.

But, normally we don't lose members :( The flaring tempers also need to be taken with a grain of salt I think.

no, they are not like this one, this one was special. usually the ganza is announced and people read about it, show up at the given time, drink, smoke, tell jokes and cavort carrying a golden hog around above their heads and chant, having a good time dancing around the fire, amy-0 is chugging coors light doing the "snoopy" and shooting the cans off the old hogs heads and... at the moment of truth, if you can figure out when that is, busse comes down off the mountain wearing a golden hog mask and catches us cavorting and smashes the "wisdom of the hog" tablets to pieces and tells us to "GO GO GO" so we all "GO" and try for the ganza special, stomping anything to pieces that gets in our way

but now things are different.

the tatonka used to be as many as the blades of grass on the prairie, then the whiteface come and shoot all the tatonka, our old guard pork hunters have been locked up and shackled by mods we have no meat to eat so our young people travel far, become vegans and worship a false iron. we are tired of eating brussel sprouts and swiss chard, we want buffalo and pork... yes, we want pork,

set our people free so they can roam the forum and hunt the troughs again, set them free to run with the wild boars of the forest.

WOW!!! :eek::confused::eek:

I'm not sure I 'get' all that. Although I think I do dimly remember chanting, much alcohol, and the golden hog mask. Usually, I just wake up the next day with a hangover ... and, eventually, a few knives arrive at my doorstep.

The whole thing about "shooting cans off the old hogs' heads" does explain that furrow above my left eye, though. :);)

Perhaps a few of us became a little too heated this time around. :)

It will pass. "And lo! The people did drink of the Hog-milk of the land and become prosperous!"
