just got it, way different profile than i was expecting, the top swedge is perfectly straight from the ricasso to the tip... It's super aggressive and very very sharp...

I promise I'll use it before the week is up :)

oooh Me like!!! Outstanding blade! CongRats!!!! :D :D :D

Sweet knife ,I bet it feels a bit more quick in that hand over a regular RMD.

Very cool.
With all the RMD variants of late, we have more choices than ever (it seems). There is something for "everyone" or the opportunity to aquire a variety. Not only are they modified versions of a popular design, but each is different enough to keep things interesting.

nice, I love daggers and dagger like things

Although it's pretty awesome already, I can't help but wonder how it would look if that grind line were zero-edged... with a satin finish and the whole surface of the blade convexed like that, it would probably have a really cool effect.

quick update: used it to chop some stuff up in the kitchen last night, had a minor casualty. I knew there was no point trying to keep it a safe queen (sr101 rusts real bad around here) so i figured i would at least get some use out of it if its gonna turn colors anyway :D its a bitchin kitchen dagger, I dont know if Ill ever trust myself with the back edge enough to take it outside or on any hikes/trips.

Dave Brown, it is in fact very much a dagger and the huge cut on my finger concurs ;)
Gary, this thing would be unreal if it had all zero edges; in this particular iteration, the main grind is a nice skinny flat grind, and the upper swedge is hollow
Need2Know, I agree with you, the options you can get this RMD in now make it like a lot of Busse knives, theres one for everybody, regardless of taste :) it's a GREAT thing
theBrain, it is dangerously quick ;)

thanks for your compliments everybody :)

If I had two of these, I would take it to some mousepad-backed sandpaper to zero-edge the grind line... just out of curiosity :D
Don't do it, though. It's awesome already.
