Ganza Replacement Suggestion

Heresy yet again...

well, I've got a minor suggestion - how about number 1 to 1000? each piglet/hog picks one and then numbers are chosen at random. Before email et al, I believe this was called a raffle.

Definitely not as dramatic as the hogs bringing down bladeforums or bcf, but the outcome is similar.

The way i see it is email timings are not reliable, and to a large extent are random - someone mentioned that skunk was the first, but his ISP providers mail server sent it 24 hours later -talk about a kick in the nads.

I've only been through 2 ganzaas but, I think half the fun (for me) is sitting here waiting for that "GO!" thread. Not to mention the anticipation of waiting to find out what, if anything, I got. I think Boss Hog has a good set-up as it is. Just my 2 cents
 
If you don't like the game, don't play....it's part of the fun..not knowing even if you are going to get anything andsometimes finding out you got everything you asked for.

I do not dissagree with everyone - it is exciting waiting for the GO-Go, however when I can not even get on or refresh without getting kicked out is somewhat of a pain. If the server were more relyable when demand is high then I would not mind as much - this last one was kind of a mess. Frankly I just stareted shooting blindly and sent my e-mails out when I could not get in ..... :rolleyes:
 
I enjoy the Ganzaaaa's...mostly for the Hog treachery...Jerry_Busse, Berry Jusse, Jery Busse ....and the Infi that "GO..GO..GO" with every Ganzaaa
 
The trough is not a democracy where everyone has an equal chance.

I agree. The anticipation and quick email stampede to the trough is all part of the ganza fun. This was my fourth one and it gets more exciting every time:D
 
I see nothing wrong with the current system. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. That's life.
 
'Ganzaaaas are unpredictable. That's part of the fun.

I once sent my email in almost a day later. Scored a HOG-FSH that some Hog had kicked back to the curb.

You just never know.
