So this was my first Ganza, and I got the knife in earlier this week. I was hoping for two but it was 4 minutes after go before I sent in the email. Here it is:

Here next to a Suvive! GSO 4.1:

Initial impressions between the two:
The Rat is a little heftier, with more weight in the handle. I think I like that better. The ergos on the Rat are definitely better as the grips seem better contoured for my hand. The build quality seems considerably better on the rat as well. The micarta and steel are perfectly flush, unlike the GSO.

I think I prefer the edge on the GSO. I would say it's at a 40-50 degree inclusive angle. The Rodent on the other hand is at least 60, which in my opinion is way too thick for a small knife. I would assume SR-101 would be able to handle a thinner edge just fine, does anyone know how it compares to CPM-3V? This particular GSO is in 3V, and I haven't used it yet. I have another one in M390 that I've taken into the woods, beaten, and then literally shaved with it before going into town. It came with an extremely sharp edge that the Rodent 4 just does not have. I will run with it to test it, but I forsee myself thinning it considerably. Not sure if I want to do it on the edge pro, or to convex it on a belt.

In any case, those are my initial impressions comparing the Rodent 4 with the GSO 4.1. I intend to do a legitimate comparison between the two in the near future. Does anyone have ideas on a good comparison test? I will compare it with the 3V version as I feel that is more apples to apples as far as steel goes.

If anyone else has gotten their Ganza knife in, please post it.

Congrats on your score. I have one and love it. The SR101 is amazing steel. Incredibly strong and takes a wicked edge and holds it for a long time. You do however have to be sure to care for it like you would any other quality tool. A light oil occasionally. SR101 is prone to corrosion so if you strip the coating you will need to keep it oiled. I find forcing a patina on it helps a great deal in slowing down corrosion.
