To prepare for the upcoming ganza, and to share a little with the newer HOGS, let's hear any ganzaa stories you HOGs have. Stories of victory or defeat, joy and pain, life or death, etc... all qualify. Let's hear it. I'll start.

A few ganzaas ago, I can't remember which, one of you bastids dug up an old ganzaa thread where BA-Es, NO-Es and the like were being offered up at the original price. Heck, there might have even been CG SFNOs on that thread. So excitedly I put in a sweet order. I couldn't believe my luck. And off went my Emails to Boss HOG.

Well Jerry sends me an email back trying to break the news to me that I was somehow ordering out of an old ganzaa list that one of you bastids resurrected. Bummer. :mad::thumbdn: But it was funny. Well as I was replying I somehow hit the send button before I typed my new message so off goes the same order, for older ganzaa knives, to Jerry. Boss HOG again emails me and explains the situation again and asks me what and how much I had been drinking. :p

Well finally things get sorted out and I scored. I think it was a mili ganza blade. But it was a valuable lesson. I had seen this happen long before that but I was so excited when I saw the Ergos at the original price I just took off full speed.

So thank you, you HOG bastid, who ever you are. I owe you. ;):p

Now that's funny. :D Can't say I've been taken by the fake janitor yet.

My most recent ganza victory was scoring that custom Mojo that was supposed to be offered but didn't make it into the ganza. When I shot my ganza orders off, I asked about the Mojo and if it was still available since we hadn't heard about it. I got a uber special phone call from Amy letting me know that I could snag the Mojo if I wanted it. I think she was more excited than I was! :D

Boss thought it was cool that I was the only one that remembered about it and asked for it, so he let me have it. That Mojo is one of my favorite Busse's to date, and is extra special to me. :thumbup:

Well, I have been working a lot, my company moved to a place where DSL can't reach and they had to wait a while to get a T1 line...

I have just been too tired to log in very much after work.

Tyrkon, the Cobaltaganzaa wasn't a hoot, I didn't get my SHBM...
 
well, today i saw the old fbm thread. before checking, i panicked, logged on to bcs, and was a hairs breath of pulling the trigger for a fbmle! i thought to myself, man i got a few fbms already, but i never did get a le. anyway, i get to the check out and my wife walks in and says "you better not be buying another knife!" i quickly clear my cart. "no, i'm just checking what they got". go back to the thread and see the date/time stamp! sh%*, imagine trying to explain to my wife why i needed a $717 knife! :grumpy:


got me!!! (wonder if people actually ordered some le's? if she didn't walk in, i might have given in and ordered 2 @ $1414!) :eek:


anyway, i think i want some smaller infi now (2 @ working mans cult.) :D


ps.-i still want a fbmle! (i need some pysch. help!) :eek:

One time during a ganza I resurrected an old thread where BA-Es, NO-Es and the like were being offered up at the original price. It sure is a hoot to see folks jump head first into an empty trough. :D (Seriously wasn't me)
 
Funny WASN'T my first ganza - probably fall Knob of 06. Some awesome pieces. But I just didnt' want to bite. My wife was so proud. "Are you going to get anything?" "Nah. They look nice, but the prices are just a tad higher than I'd like. I'll pass."

I watched the whole thing go down, could have had my order in near the front of the trough and scored EVERYTHING I wanted.

But I didn't.

A week later, people start talking their scores, and I realize my folly.

A month later, people start posting PICS of their scores. And I feel like a doofus.

The ones I wanted I cannot remember, but I know that last I looked, I wasn't gonna go anywhere NEAR the prices they are worth now. LOL

Definitely my favorite CHOPPER.
 
I have a confession- I still don't have a FBMLE yet. Does that make me a bad person? I have a CGFBM and a FFBM, but no LE. I still want one, but have been spending all my extra bread on other INFI.

My ganzaa experience is still limited- I only "participated" in the last one via my super badass proxy, who hooked my up with my Cultellus, which just came in a couple of days ago, and is my new favorite. If you don't have a Cultellus yet, get one! (get several) I'm praying for a regular, CG run of Culties. If that happens, I think I'll have found the focus for my collection. Coolest. Knife. Ever.
