They may have just bought blade blanks from the Camillus auction. Unfortunately, they have not given proper homage, and have distorted the blades.

the handles are very becker-esque; the knives themselves, so so not so much.

i wonder what say, some of our trusted vendors think, when they sell these?

The blade shape on the M48 is not very different from the United Cutlery Pathfinder. I don't see any reason to get upset about these; those that know knives won't bother with them, and those inclined to buy United Cutlery fixed blades of this type will likely be perfectly satisfied. I don't see it as a travesty. I won't be buying any, but I don't think this will take market share from Becker.

I wonder if I could get some of those handle scales as cheap replacements. I'm sure they would fit my Becker's just fine.

I can tell you, I tried it out - and they fit the blades from the Camillus auction, a BK9 and a Machete, with no problem
