Decided today to add to my planter area so I can get some more seeds in the ground. Used the 1311 to cut the grass on the perimeter of the player footprint, to make it easier to remove it with a pick axe.

Here's where they are going

Here's my first section, potatoes, beets, purple orach, tomatoes and corn

Went through several rocks ( there is only an inch or two of dirt, then mostly rock) no real damage whatsoever

Random wire in the way, not for long!

After a lot of pick axe and shoveling, got them in and level.

Just wanted to share this here too. I've found gardening to be extremely rewarding and fun, I would recommend it to anyone and everyone, at least once. Just grow something, it really gives a sense of what it takes to grow food ( at least it did for me).

Thanks for sharing, it looks like you've got quite the green thumb. I always like to see how othere people grow their gardens. Mine is always far too large, but I freeze and can food for winter with it so it never goes to waste. :D

Man, now that is at waters edge, cool!!! Raised gardens work real good.

Using Busse's in the garden is a great way to work out which ones work the best for your needs  Looks to be a lovely garden too

Awesome, gardening can be fun and very rewarding. Nothing like gathering ingredients for a meal from your yard.

thats a pretty awesome setup you've got goin on. looks great right by the water like that.

:thumbup:Dude, you got a prime piece of real estate. I like the tiki bar!:D

Thanks! I wish I had a lot more room, I'd love to have a garden that was to large!

Nice work and beautiful garden.

Thanks! Yeah, especially since on the back I only really have a couple inches of dirt, then it's mostly rock

I know, right? Man, I'm jealous!

Thanks guys! I'm pretty proud of the tiki bar, built it myself last year, no plans or directions or anything, just kind of winged it. Turned out pretty well if do say so myself!

Great pics! Awesome yard!

Thanks man!

Great pics! Looks like you have a pretty awesome garden

Thanks, it's shaping up, and I think it makes a cool design feature in an otherwise small backyard. It's not really large enough ( and the slope doesn't help) to play in, so this makes it visually appealing, at least to me.
