Spring has sprung, and it has me thinking about gardening. My garden is kind of pathetic, but at least I can always count on good ol' 'taters, strawberries, and pea pods.
Anyway, all the tender new plant growth arising inspired these Gardening Razors, little all-purpose knives for use while gardening. They're thin, with double-convex bevels, sharpened to 10,000 grit, or at least that's what the sharpening stone says. They're sharp but I know for a fact they can get sharper.
They're made of fairly rare ti alloy 6-2-2-2-2, which among other things is used within the F22 Raptor fighter jet and air-to-air missiles. I haven't used it often but it makes a nice knife blade! These have little utility holes, and a corded leather slip sheath. The handles are leather over cord over neoprene. Retaining the heat treatment oxides on such thin blades with a high width ratio is not easy, as they require a lot of warp straightening in several stages.
