I've had my eye on Gaza's work for a while now... he's been super accessible and open through the build process of this batch, I don't know when this guy sleeps, it seems like he's ALWAYS available...Anyway, check this knife out!

My hopes with this knife were that it would slot into that "medium sebeza" size profile that I've been wanting for a long time... and I'll tell ya... It just might, I think it's too early to make that claim concretely, but first impressions are favorable.

The high hollow blade is excellent, with a flawless handrub on the bevels and a polish on the flats...

The simple bead blasted handles with blue accents around the pivot and backspacer really pop. It also makes for a VERY slim carry profile.

If you guys can snag something from Gareth I highly recommend it, as always I'm looking forward too seeing what you guys think!!

I have one similar, and I like it alot, but I would prefer that the lockbar cutout be on the inside of the lockbar (like with the sebenza). With the Shamwari that I have, the cut out is on the outside under the clip, and it destroys my pockets faster than any other knife I've ever carried.

Others on the forum have had problems with his business practices, but he unquestionably makes a nice cutting tool.
 
Yup, nice and clean. I don't know what his current status is though concerning orders. Things being the way they've been for the past couple of years I personally wouldn't buy anything off the man unless it was already ready.

But what he does make, he makes very nice and clean.

I can't really speak to this as I don't pay upfront and won't put down a deposit. But I placed my order, it was made to spec, I paid, and then it was delivered 3 biz days later via DHL. Gaza was accessible and friendly the entire time. Kept me plugged into the process and delivered what he said he did.
 
Sounds like he's getting things sorted. Good for him! Honestly. I was always disappointed that a maker of his caliber had such baggage coming with it......maybe I should save some pennies....hmm. (scratches beard)
 
I love these knives.....I actually have a small damasteel shamwari and a Sentinel. The sentinel never leaves my pocket I love it!
