anyone else grow garlic?
i have been for 5-6 years now-have a few different kinds -today i ordered 2 new types i havent grown yet from a place 30 miles away called cayuga garlic farms-tried buying from them the last few years but i was always to late to get what i wanted-

nothing better than fresh garlic -cant make a tomato salad with out it-:thumbup:
 
I've grown it. Gophers love it.

Best I've had was from the farmers market, called Russian. Doubt that's the whole/full name, but it was great.
 
No, but I've thought about it.

How difficult is it to grow? Even my weeds seem to die regularly.
 
My dad does, and I reap the rewards! :D :D

Seriously, his hobby--nay, passion--is gourmet cooking. Lots of garlic and other fresh herbs don't hurt! God I love weekends at home and summer. Such good food...

Garlic is easy to grow.
Just loosen the soil and plant a clove about an inch deep eight inches apart and water regularly.

Garlic braids are fun to do.
