No pics, sorry.

This is a mini review of the Garmin Forerunner 305 w/ Heart Rate Monitor.

This watch is cool. the physical size is a little huge, but more comfortable than my Foretrex, which shares the same body has the original Forerunner.

The buttons are easy to get to while running. The different screens are customizable to your preference. The features are easy to use.

Now, on to the important part..data.

I'm blown away by the amount of data that is recorded and transferred to the PC. I was a good runner in the Army, and an off/on runner as a fat, lazy civilian up until Jan 2009, when I started running more consistently.

I'm brand new to monitoring heart rate and training in different zones, etc; so, I'm in the process of learning how to use the data recorded.

I ran a short interval run yesterday, recorded the data and uploaded it to my PC. It's really cool to see the run broken down into data fields, such as pace/mile, heart rate, % of max heart rate, speed, distance, elevation, grade, etc. I can look at the line graph of all the data and see exactly what is going on during the run. Now, to learn to use the data effectively...

That's it for the mini review. Any questions? I'll try to answer if I can.
