Gary is a good friend of Dale Rief, we all know Dale now...right? http://www.angelfire.com/ks/reif

Anyway, Gary makes all different shapes, sizes, and styles, including some of the best multicarry concealdex sheaths. He uses rayskin, MOP, ivory, A2, D2, M2, 5160, or anything you request. He even heat treats his own blades. He use to forge the steel himself, but had to stop due to health problems. If you guys are looking to have some of your designs come to life, let Gary take a shot.

I acquired one of Gary's tanto's from a forumite, and I am really pleased with it.
I contacted Gary about makning me a variation on his NK-1 and should receive it very soon (review to follow).
He has been great to correspond with- quick, helpful, insightful and willing to accomodate the customer.
Check him out.

Sean

Hey y'all,
Gary does make some excellent knives. I've been fortunate enough to be in Gary's shop and I have handled Gary's knives and think they are great. Keep your eyes open for a special thread concerning one of Gary's knives, you won't want to miss this one.

Sean - Glad you like the knife. I'm lucky enough to be the first owner and it's quite a knife i must say. Gary's knife is up to any use/abuse and it's value for money. His chiseled tanto design "C.U.T" actually cuts straight! After visiting the new website, there are some nice designs which i think would be quite popular. Good work!

My NK1 or maybe NKx is on its way. Gary built one for me and send the picture. It seemed to be too wide to me so he agreed to sell it and make another one. We exchanged many pictures and now I am looking forward to receiving my first true custom and the ultimate neck knife.

I am planing to test it as well (I guess against Boyer mini tanto) and post the results.

I cannot wait.

David

Mine will have desert ironwood handle, thumb grooves and lineyard hole:

I have a matching CUT and neck knife from Gary with tanto blades on both. I think I was the first here to get one of his knives and I have been singing his praises ever since. I bought the first one off the auction. Gary is a great guy to do business with and his prices and delivery time are amazing considering the high quality.
