Another addition to the Halbie Hunters: Gary LeBlanc's magnificent Little Elmer Skinner.
Like the title says, this is a small skinner - 7 1/4" long and 3 3/8" ATS-34 hand-rubbed satin finish blade. Mirror polished fittings. Tapered tang. Mosaic pins. The handle is stabilized Amboyna Burl. The sheath is antique tan with a "convertible" dangler.
Very nice work, all around. It's always nice after looking over a new knife like this to be pleasantly surprised by the quality of the sheath, as well.
Gary was at the 2008 Knifemakers Guild Show and will have a table in 2009 in Louisville. That is definitely a table worth visiting (OK, they all are, but I'll be making a beeline to his).
