I just got this in from England--saw it on Ebay about to go for not very much, and I liked the pictures, so even though I didn't know anything about the maker I went ahead and bid and won. When it showed up, I liked it so much I started trying to do a little research on the maker and although I didn't find much, I did find an old sales listing for some of his knives and lo and behold, my very knife was up there:

As far as I can tell it is just as new now as it was when these pictures were taken, and though that listing for it doesn't show what price it went for, I'm starting to wonder if I might have actually stumbled into a pretty damned good deal for $200.00! Workmanship seems awfully good to me, both knife and sheath.

I may try to track down more of his work, he and eye seem to see eye to eye on ergos, balance, etc.

.

Looks real good to me...call the maker and ask him what replacement value is.

Best Regards,

Yep, I'm still trying to scare up some contact info for him--have some more reading to do. First Steve Voorhis and now this...I keep falling in love with the work of the stealthy knifemakers. :D

Rodewald,Gary listed in Knives 2008. If you can't find his ph#, pm me and I'll give it to you. [I just don't feel right about posting ph#'s w/o permission;)]

Excellent deal. I figure you paid less than 1/2 price. He makes some great knives. Sells quite a few to Blade Gallery.

The more I play with it, the more I like it. Glad I bumbled my way into a good one. I've payed too much for some knives before so it feels good to balance it out a bit. :D
