gas forge burner?

That is a pretty basic burner, and has no ability to be fine tuned. As you can see by the terms, the maker is in another country.

A better choice would be to use one of the plans for burners in the sticky "PID Control Forge and More". The second post is links to mane sets of instructions. The IG burner is many folks first burner. The good thing about most forges is you can change the burner when you decide to make a better one.

A coffee can forge is really too small for anything but the most primitive HT and forging work. Use a larger container and make a little bit larger forge and you will get much more use from it. There is no real difference between making a coffee can forge and making a 12"X8" forge from an old propane tank or other "found" cylinder.
