Hey guys. I don't come on here and ask for things ever, but i need some help. I know some of you are watch guys. I was wondering if anyone had a junk watch or a hook up for the rear gasket that goes in the back of the case that seals the metal back to the watch. Mine fell apart and now i'm out a watch! My orient mako has been acting up so i'm currently watchless, and although my iphone 5S tells the time well, it's inconvenient. Can anybody help me? I found them for .58 but shipping is 5$. Local jewelers are expensive as well.

I'd call/email Casio directly and see if they can fix it. I've never dealt with them, but I would imagine they may be able to hook you up with the accurate ring and even give the watch a tune up.

Depending on the age and why the gasket came apart Casio should warranty it... they did for mine, the only bummer is that you have to send your watch to them.

I sent mine to them once and they said it could not be repaired so they sent me a new updated version. If I remember right, Wal-mart will give you a prepaid box to send your watch in, just ask for it at counter.

Based on the responses and the cost you quoted I'd just pay the $5.58 for the o-ring you sourced since the one you have seems to be pretty reasonable as it is.

The cost of s&h for any of the other options looks to be higher than your original quoted cost... unless one of the other members here who can find a source who would ship for lettermail cost. (fingers are crossed for you) Wishing you best of luck.

I just use Liquid Gasket, Shoe Goo, whatever brand of gasket goop I happen to have handy. Next time you change the battery you'll have to scrape the stuff off and reapply, that's all.

I've never had a leak, and I wear my watches swimming and in the shower. Haven't tried scuba diving with them....
