Gatco Sharpener ?

Hello!,
I Just Recently Purchased A Gatco Sharpening System.
I Bought It To Replace A Cheaper System. I Am Having A Problem
With The Clamp Holding Small Blades. It's Notched At The End
And When I Put A Small Blade And Lock In Place, It Does Not Hold
Securely And Will Usually Flip Out While Sharpening. If I Put The
Smaller Blades Behind The Notch The Stone Hits The End Of The
Clamp. I Was Considering Grinding The Notch Out And Just Use
The Flat Section Behind. Has Anyone Had This Problem Or Any Other
Ways To Remedy This Problem. Thank You, Randy

Try putting a thin strip of rubber (even a wide rubber band) or a piece of electrical tape between the blade and the clamp.

Use contact glue, a thin layer, let dry – and then it works. The glue is working as a thin layer of rubber.
